Miss Jenny has a Masters in Special Education, Diploma in teaching, Associate Diploma in Drama, Certificate 4 in Auslan (Australian Sign Language) and Certificate 4 in ASL (American Sign Language). Reading Recovery Trained (specialised training in teaching struggling grade one students to read & write).
She has had over ten years experience as an elementary school teacher. Her experiences also includes teaching childen with Special Needs.

Tiny Hands Talk Preschool is for 4 year olds only, or the year before they start Kindergarten.
Miss Jenny only runs the one class and her expertise is with kindergarten. She has spent many months organising her programs specifically aimed at 4 year olds, preparing them for kindergarten and their learning years ahead.

Tuesdays & Thursdays
The Preschool runs from 9 - 11.30am
Costs:
$150 per month

Only 8 children participate in this program, allowing your child to have many opportunities for one on one time with Miss Jenny.
Tuesdays: Literacy & Drama, Music
Thursdays: Mathematics & Art, Music
PROGRAM
Themes: Each month there is a new theme: Transport, under the sea, animals, food, etc.. the big books writing tasks and art is usually centered around the themes.
Literacy: Leaning Letters, Sounds, Text Type (in the form of Big books and writing tasks) and name writing.
Math: Numbers to 10 both orally and written, and all concepts that they will be introduced to in kindergarten: (i.e. patterns, addition, subtraction, shapes, length, and more).
Art: Art is usually created around the theme for the month and the big book.
Drama:Stories are explored using dress ups. Improvistaional games are played and some stories are centred around the big book for the month.
Music: Children will learn songs in sign language for an end of year mini performance. Music is also used to assist their learning of numbers and letters.
Snack Time:This is a 15 minute break to relax and talk about healthy eating. Fruits and/or vegetables are encouraged. This is a time for talking and socialising.
Games: Children will participate in a number of learning games.
Free Time:This is a time to explore the many learning centres and to practice their social skills.
